Natal - Brazil
Natal is the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the far northeast of Brazil. It is known for its extensive coastal sand dunes and the Fort of the Magi, star-shaped, a 16th-century Portuguese fortress at the mouth of the Potengi River. North of the river, Genipabu is an area of huge dunes with a freshwater lagoon. The Via Costeira highway links a 15 km strip of beaches south of the fort.
